Accommodation
DORMITORY ALTERNATIVES FOR INCOMING STUDENTS
In a large metropolitan area like Istanbul, finding economic and suitable accommodation is one of the biggest problems. There are available dormitories which can provide accommodation for incoming students coming to Istanbul University via Erasmus Programme. A limited number of students are given residency at the guesthouse on the Avcılar campus. Another dormitory which can provide residency is Ömer Halisdemir Öğrenci Yurdu. This dormitory is located in the district of Bahçelievler and it is at a distance of 800 meters away from Yenibosna Metrobus and Metro stations.
Dr. Safiye Ali Öğrenci Yurdu is located in the district of Fatih and it is at a distance of 50 meters away from the campus of Istanbul University, Faculty of Medicine.
To receive more information concerning the availability of the dormitories and the process of application, please contact Mr. Mustafa Kaplan from Rectorate’s Office of Erasmus.

In addition to these student residences, private dormitories, boarding houses, and flats for rent are further alternatives for the solution to the accommodation problem. If you are thinking of renting a flat, you may find a more economic solution by getting together with friends. Istanbul, one of the largest cities in the world, presents a variety of alternatives from a wide price range. If you would like to receive more information regarding these issues beforehand, you may want to communicate with other Erasmus students at https://www.facebook.com/esn.existanbul?fref=ts and receive information regarding all relevant issues.
